Lot Operations-Tallahassee Auto Auction

This position is responsible for directing lot operation workers in locating, identifying, moving and parking sales vehicles in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Communicates directly with customers and uses strong customer service and organizational skills to complete task.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Organization and maintenance of the lot by making sure that vehicles for sale are properly received and scanned, and correctly moved to the next staging area, daily.
• Ensuring that vehicles are parked in assigned lots and in proper order for the sale.
• Keeping proper inventory of scanners and printers for lot. Inform manager of any malfunction of equipment.
• Keep supplies ordered in advance.
• Make sure disabled vehicles are moved out of the way, and that all vehicles flagged for work are moved in a timely manner. Assist as necessary.
• Ensure that all windows are rolled up on vehicles and are protected from inclement weather.
• Follow up on vehicles that require detail and mechanic work.
• Communicate with customers and employees on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. organize/stage sale cars before and after the sale, transport drivers to various locations to pick up or deliver vehicles, etc.
• Lot check every Thursday afternoon.
• Ensure company gas cans are full before Wednesday afternoon.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) or reduced hours as business needs dictate.
• Register/check in vehicles as they arrive.
• Drive wrecker/tow truck as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee must be able to lift or move items at least 50 pounds
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
